How the equity release process works

Once you refer your client to Bower Partnerships, they will be expertly guided through the following equity release process by our friendly specialists.

Stage 1: Appointment booking

A member of our friendly team will make contact with your client to arrange their free, no-obligation, initial consultation in the comfort of their own home.

We will encourage them to invite their loved ones too if they wish, as they may have questions of their own to ask which could provide extra reassurance for your client. You are also welcome to attend this appointment if you wish.

Stage 2: Attend free consultation

financial adviser meeting with customer

During your client’s free, initial equity release consultation, we will:

  • Discuss the different types of equity release available
  • Explain the advantages and disadvantages of each type of plan
  • Conduct a full review of their state benefit entitlements to ensure that they are claiming everything they are entitled to.

Stage 3: Equity release planning

If the customer wishes to progress after discussing their options with us, then the adviser will return a few days later with a full recommendation. During this second appointment, we will:

  • Discuss which plans they qualify for
  • Explain exactly how much they could release and all the costs involved
  • Reveal the results of their state benefits entitlement check and if they could be affected by a plan
  • Make our recommendation
  • Go through the papers that need to be signed if they wish to proceed

Stage 4: Arrangement

Once everything is agreed then we will liaise with their chosen solicitor and lender to keep things moving along. We update the client regularly throughout the process and will notify you

Stage 5: Completion

We will contact your client to confirm the case has been successfully completed and that they will be receiving their money shortly. At this point we will process your introducer commission payment.
